What does it mean if there’s a single red light flash when I close the lid?

This means the Engine did not detect the Prop and won't start. Try to push the Prop on more securely. If the Prop will not attach securely, you may need to start over with a new Prop, dropper, sticker, and any remaining sample in the collection cup.
