If your child has new or worsening emergency warning signs, such as severe trouble breathing, continuous pain or pressure in the chest, feeling confused, having difficulty waking up or staying awake, or pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, call 911 or seek emergency medical attention instead of ordering this test.
